This display celebrates not only the sound and spectacle of the Royal Marines Band Service, but their proud heritage

Numerous exhibits illustrate the Band Service's proud history, with a range of instruments on show from a variety of arenas, samples of uniforms, plus details on key personalities and involvement in Royal tours.


A 53 minute film is on show for visitors, showing the Beat Retreat from Horse Guards Parade, London, and in the Band Memorial & Music Room, a selection of music can be listened to personally through headphones.
In the Band Memorial & Music Room, there is also a display of ornate silver drums, dedicated to the 143 members of the Band Service who gave their lives in the Great War, a set of Fanfare Trumpets dedicated to those members of the Band Service lost in World War Two, and a Book of Remembrance.
