FAQ for Teachers

How much does it cost?

It's FREE. School visits facilitated by a member of the learning team are subsidised so you don't have to pay anything. If you are planning to leave mini bus or coach in the car park, please let us know and we'll supply you with a parking pass.

What do you expect me to do?

We expect you to join in and have fun with the group. We'll do most of the work when you're in the museum and will provide all the materials used in the sessions.

What is your capacity?

Our education centre has a capacity of 40 people so the simplest answer is about a class at a time in the education centre. We can cater for larger groups but we will have to split them into smaller sub groups.

Do you come to schools?

We try to make use of the Museum as much as possible, so we don’t visit schools. We might consider coming to the school as part of a programme that includes visiting the museum

I want something that's not been mentioned. Can you offer that for me?

Of course we can, depending on what it is. All our sessions look at Royal Marines, so we can't do sessions on things like ancient Egypt. Contact us and we’ll see what we can do.
