Please note that Eastney Esplanade will be access only from 26th Nov to 5th Dec from 8am to 5pm each day as carriageway resurfacing works are carried out. This may affect the entrance to the Museum at times.
If you have an enquiry about any of the works, please contact Portsmouth City Council's contractor Colas on 023 9231 0900.
Explore the fascinating history of the Royal Marines. Take a walk through history from 1664 and learn about the lives of the extraordinary people who have become Royal Marines. Follow a recruit through training and on to deployment around the world, then creep through the jungle, marvel at the medal collection and take a trip down memory lane in our WW2 home front kitchen. Finish your day in our award winning café The Quartermaster’s Kitchen and our Museum shop and enjoy our seafront location.
The Museum is set in beautiful grounds which are accessible to the public. Dogs are permitted within the Museum grounds, as long as they are kept on a leash. We regret that, with the exception of guide and assistance dogs, they are not permitted within the Museum buildings.
